Geologist Rip Kirby examined the skin of a graduate student who swam in the gulf and then showered. Under regular light, his skin seemed clean, but ultraviolet light revealed orange blotches — dispersant-mixed oil.

Make the call

Hey there,

I just made a call on an issue that is extremely important to me and to our environment. Tell the President Obama to clean up air pollution from fracking -- I did!

Thanks!

President Obama: Protect Us From Fracking Air Pollution

Thanks to activists like you, over 23,000 people told President Obama to stand up to natural gas companies and their lobbyists, say no to loopholes in a rule meant to reduce air pollution, and protect our communities from fracking. The fight isn't over yet, though.

Big Oil and Gas are still lobbying President Obama to weaken safeguards proposed by the EPA. This safeguard would limit air pollution from fracked wells, and we need to continue to show our support for the clean air.

Call President Obama and tell him we want him to protect our air from reckless fracking air pollution: (202) 456-1111
Sample script:

"Hello, this is ____, and I live in __.
EPA's proposed air rules for oil and gas drilling are essential to protect my family's health from pollution created by fracking. Please don't give in to the oil and gas industry's last ditch effort to weaken these safeguards."
